THE HOOTON RETREAT

Once again, we collaborate with our branding partner in developing a low-key retreat at the quiet district of Jelebu at Seremban.

Situated inside a 7-acre wide plantation of matured durian trees, this retreat is surrounded by rubber plantations, banana plantations and a forest reserve.
The owner wanted to provide a quiet relaxing tropics environment, especially for the city dwellers and foreigners alike, to appreciate the calm, peaceful, yet raw elements for activities like yoga, glamping, jungle trekking or a simple barbecue or a soiree.

We designed a cluster of small structures with the common and also other unusual materials like concrete, raw wood with combination of shipping containers. We implement the concept of minimalism in reflection of a back to basic lifestyle but without sacrificing style and aesthetic.
